Projects

1936 Ford

This project was a full frame off custom/restoration. We removed the body from the frame and updated the chassis and suspension. Installed a mustang II front independent suspension with coil over shocks. The rear was updated to a four link with coil overs and a Ford 9 inch differential with posi trac and 373 gears. The body work was a very large task as well. The roof of the car was canvas from the factory. We filled in the roof with a donor roof skin off of a 1953 Pontiac Chiefton. The other custom touch on the body was removing the factory trunk lid latches and making the trunk lid open and close with an electric actuator. The floor of the car had to be modified to be able to install a 6 speed manual transmission. The remaining body had minimal dents and rust to repair. The interior of the car was all done in house with a few custom touches. All new gauges were installed along with cruise control, air conditioning, and a stereo system. This was one of our largest projects and was also one of our favorites.

1951 Chevy Pickup

Tim Danley, the owner of the pickup, had some very specific requests for this project. He wanted to keep the original look of the pickup, but update everything else. We updated the suspension with a Mustang II in the front and a transverse 4 link in the rear with coilover shocks all the way around. Full disk brakes and anti sway bars front and rear, to make handling much better. The drivetrain was beefed up with a 383 and manual 5 speed transmission and fuel injection. The pickup cab was in very poor shape. The floor was replaced all the way up to the toe boards and both Lt and Rt cab corners were replaced. The original paint patina was matched as closely as possible and turned out better than expected. All of the glass and interior was updated. The seat upholstery was done in house and turned out perfect. Along with a full wiring harness, a new stereo system was installed. Tim was very pleased with the work that was done and enjoys driving the pickup.

1979 Corvette

Josh contacted us to help him update the drivetrain on  his Corvette.  He was wanting to up the  horsepower and make the car more reliable. We pulled out the tired old 350 small  block and  went with  new Blue Print 396 small block power plant. We updated the fuel delivery  with fuel injection but also replaced the fuel pump and all of the lines to accommodate the new fuel injection system which is a Holley Sniper fuel injection. The exhaust system is where we were able to  really have some fun with this project. The car had side pipes on it when it came in to the  shop, and we did leave  them installed, but Josh asked us if we could install electric cut outs on to the exhaust system. And we were able to accomodate his request.  When it was all said and done Josh drove out with something that was not only a blast to drive, but really turns some heads when the cut outs are opened up.

1969 Oldsmobile 442

This was one of our earlier builds and is a car that is not seen very often. When Darwin brought us his car it was in fairly rough condition but had a ton of potential for a restoration. We started by installing new quarter panels and getting the rest of the car smoothed up and straight for paint. After body work, the body was painted a bright silver metallic and we put black deck stripes with a prismatic pearl over the top of the entire car. When out in the sun, the colors really come to life. Once the car was painted, we began re-assembly. 442 parts are very hard to come by but luckily Darwin had been saving parts for his project for some time. Darwin loves to drive his Olds 442 and does so on a regular basis. It makes all the hard work worth it to see our customers out having fun with their projects.
